The History of British Royalty

According to USA Today, PBS has renewed Victoria, a series about the British queen, for a second season.  The ratings for the series are higher in its first season than another PBS hit, Downton Abbey, which is saying a lot because I really enjoyed Downton Abbey tremendously and am equally excited for another season of Victoria. “Informed” will be releasing a segment focused on Youth Dental Health, hosted by Rob Lowe.

Rob Lowe is providing his expertise in the front of the camera as a way to educate the public on the importance of dental health in society’s youth. Dental health that starts at a young age contributes to healthier and happier lives as the young members of society grow.

Dental health for the young extends far beyond simply preventing cavities as oral health also affects the health of the entire body. Children living in low income families have been found to suffer the most from the discomfort and pain that poor oral hygiene can cause. Bad breath, altered taste buds, stained and sensitive teeth, as well as something as serious as oral cancer are all common defects of poor oral hygiene. These defects can be avoided by knowing and executing the proper steps to ensure good oral hygiene. These steps include regular brushing and flossing as well as avoiding things like highly acidic foods and drinks which can strip the teeth of their enamel. Of course, routine visits to the dentist are the most effective way to ensure good hygiene.  These issues and the steps to avoid them will be focused on in greater detail in this episode from “Informed”.

Viewers will be able to find the “Informed” series, hosted by Rob Lowe, on Public Television PBS Member stations.

Rob Lowe hosts a new “Informed” piece on Advancing Women in Business

Rob Lowe is hosting an interesting and timely show titled “Advancing Women in Business.” According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the percentage of women actively contributing to the workplace is phenomena. Women provide a vital service in society and their contribution to their community and country is oftentimes overlooked, and swept under the floor. Rob Lowe will bring out the importance of women in the workforce, what resources are currently available, and how women who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs can get assistance.

Female business women, especially those in leadership positions increase financial performance, and outperforms their counterparts. According to SC Johnson College of Business, enrollment in MBA degree classes among women have increased by 4% in the previous year, and enrollment is expected to be even higher in the years ahead. Rob Lowe will address the role of women in managerial positions, particularly minority women. Some of the most successful 500 fortune businesses in the world are under the leadership and guidance of women.

Women make their own mark in society. However, with support from community workers, mentors, schools, and family, women can make the transition into power easier, and less strenuous. Many businesses are accepting the professionalism, complexity and diversity women bring to the table. To show their support, many companies are more family friendly, and they welcome women into a world that was once male oriented. Rob Lowe encourages everyone to air their voice, ask questions and make influential suggestions.

Advanced Hiring Solutions are the topic of a new Rob Lowe hosted episode of “Informed”

Hiring employees is a critical decision. Employers today are well aware that the right hiring choices can make all the difference. Motivated, highly trained employees offer the skills company officials require to keep up in a fast-paced world. The process of locating the right employees and hiring them is one that requires attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the hiring process as well as insights into the employee market. All contemporary company managers must be aware of the best way to bring in the right staffers. Given the crucial importance of hiring decisions, it is not surprising that many employers are aware of their need to continually improve on it.

A Closer Look

In a new episode of “Informed,” actor Rob Lowe looks at advanced hiring solutions. Lowe hopes to show his PBS audience what goes into many hiring decisions today. He also hopes to show how companies are looking for new and innovative ways to find qualified candidates for highly specialized positions. Audience members can learn how the new world of hiring has become increasingly complex. Job seekers can also watch and learn about the process from the other side of the table. In doing so, Lowe knows that each can learn how to create a better hiring experience for both parties. The net result? Ideally a more responsive work environment as well as one where everyone can find their talents truly rewarded.
